You’ve been here with me counting down every month since January!
Here we are with Christmas exactly ONE (1) month from today!
Do you feel it? An excitement so real you can almost package it up, wrap it, and gift it to yourself or someone you love!
And here in the United States, we celebrate Thanksgiving this Thursday so yeah, we are knee-deep in the 2019 holiday season for sure.
Feeling overwhelmed? Feeling an enormous wave of stress as it hits you that suddenly there’s just too much to do to get ready?
Okay. First and foremost: BREATHE. DEEPLY.
You got this!
Always take a moment and sit and breathe…
Do that along with these five easy ways to tackle holiday stress and you will be set to confidently forge ahead, prepare for, and enjoy a wonderful holiday season.
As we get down to the wire, finalize your gift buying plans by realizing the number of shopping days left:
Black Friday and Cyber Monday
Black Friday hits THIS FRIDAY, November 29, 2019.
Many deals can be had all THIS week. Then there’s Friday itself, followed by the weekend in which more sales blossom, followed by Cyber Monday.
Get your shopping list finalized so you can take advantage of all the discounts.
It’s crazy, I know. But a measured approach will have you not only getting some, or all, of your shopping done, you’ll save a ton of money in the process.
Go back to the other posts in this monthly countdown series if you need to review key points.
You should at this point be finalizing preparations in all the major areas:
- Holiday meals
- Visits to and by family and friends
If you’re sending holiday cards and planning to include a letter summarizing significant events and memories from this year, it’s time.
Time to take the notes and snippets you’ve created over this last year and dive in to writing.
Begin on a positive note, try to keep each point and the entire letter short and sweet, write like you speak (casually, conversationally), and just be YOU without embellishing too much!
You’ll end up with a newsy letter your family and friends will enjoy reading as they learn about the year you’ve had.
It’s crunch time for the big guy and his staff and massive operation.
Squirreled away in his North Pole office, Santa, like you, can be found finalizing everything he’s got to do to pull off yet another fun Christmas!
He’s checking his lists, optimizing his toy production process and staff, doing final maintenance and upgrades to his sleigh, getting the reindeer team examined by medical personnel, and prepping his Christmas eve travel schedule.
It’s the busiest time of the year and he’d have it no other way!
