Homemade Peanut Butter Cups

Are you like me and think the combination of chocolate and peanut butter is one of the most amazing taste combos ever?

Imagine knowing how to make your own, and being able to enjoy and share them for years to come.

Sounds pretty sweet to me!

They’re so easy to make too. Here ya go…

Ingredients
1 cup creamy peanut butter, divided
4-1/2 teaspoons butter, softened
1/2 cup confectioners’ sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups (12 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
4 milk chocolate candy bars (1.55 ounces each), coarsely chopped
Colored sprinkles, optional

Directions
In a small bowl, combine 1/2 cup peanut butter, butter, confectioners’ sugar and salt until smooth; set aside.

In a microwave, melt the chocolate chips, candy bars and remaining peanut butter; stir until smooth.

Drop teaspoonfuls of chocolate mixture into paper-lined miniature muffin cups. Top each with a scant teaspoonful of peanut butter mixture; top with another teaspoonful of chocolate mixture.

Decorate with sprinkles if desired.

Refrigerate until set.

Store in an airtight container.

Yield: 3 dozen.

Share and Give as Gifts!

These treats are so super simple and delicious! It would be downright Scrooge-like of you if you didn’t make these for your family this Christmas! And if you do make them, you might be tempted to keep them all for yourself — but don’t… Don’t be a Grinch! Share them far and wide!

These make fantastic gifts too. Package them up in decorative treat boxes or mason jars with ribbons.
